What We Do
We offer barber style haircuts, beard trims, and straight razor shaves. We also sell pomade, clay, beard balm, hair tonic, shampoo, conditioner that are all locally made in Michigan, and a texture powder.
History
In 2022 we started off with just two barbers working full time, now 2024 we have five barbers working full time with one more starting in November. Our first year in business, we made it to the final round of the Lansing city pulse Top of the Town. Additionally, in 2024, Alexander Dominguez was nominated for an Entrepreneurial award by 517 MAG.
Why did you start this business?
"I started Loyalty Barbershop because I wanted to take the experiences I had in Detroit and Grand Rapids and bring it to Lansing. To bring back the classic barbershop feel but to be able to get modern haircuts."
How do you define success?
"Having a shop that anyone can feel comfortable in."
Why did you choose Old Town?
"I am originally from St. johns MI just north of Lansing, I was very familiar with the area before I started loyalty. After working on the east and west side of the state, I was able to see those areas grow. I know its going to take the right people to invest in Lansing, but I know Lansing is growing. I wanted to start Loyalty in the best neighborhood in Lansing, that is why I choose old town."
