Eight Old Town businesses were recognized at the 2013 ADDY Awards. The awards, which are the advertising and marketing industry's most recognized competition, celebrate the most groundbreaking and creative advertising work in the Mid-Michigan area.

A warm, friendly neighborhood where homes have spacious front porches and the neighbors all know one another — that’s what Karen and Robert Schroeder were looking for when they began the hunt for their perfect home in Lansing. But the husband-and-wife duo soon realized such neighborhoods were hard to come by, and so when they opened Mayberry Homes in 2002, they aimed to create some.

Mark your calendars! Taste & Tour is just around the corner! Old Town Commercial Association is hosting its sixth annual Taste & Tour of Old Town. It is a progressive food sampler and exclusive loft tour that gives visitors a chance to taste a variety of Old Town’s eats and an opportunity to tour real estate in Old Town. The event will take place on Saturday, April 13th, 2012, from noon - 5 p.m. Participants check in for the event at the OTCA office where they will receive a map, purchase tickets and wristbands to be on the tour.

The Old Town Commercial Association is hosting its sixth annual Taste & Tour of Old Town, a progressive food sampler and exclusive loft tour, but we cannot do it without your help! We are seeking 25+ volunteers to help out on Saturday, April 13, 2013, from noon until 5 p.m. Volunteers will be stationed in lofts or restaurants overseeing the event’s activities.

In case you didn’t have a chance to attend the Old Town Annual Meeting & Mixer, we here at the office wanted to recognize the Robert P. Busby 2012 award recipients. The Old Town Commercial Association is proud of the dedication and passion that is present in every single volunteer and supporter. This year's Old Town Meeting & Annual Mixer recognized six individuals and two organizations that have given an immense amount of service, time and donations to Old Town in the past year. Robert P. The Old Town Commercial Association is proud to announce its 2013 Board of Directors and its five new board members: Jennifer Estill, Melik Brown, Richard Preuss, Ken Szymusiak and Ian Smith. After more than 58,000 votes were cast, five businesses in six communities throughout Michigan were selected for the Celebrated Service Award, an award spearheaded by Celebration! Cinema. Preuss Pets took first place in the Lansing division, and Elderly Instruments was named the area's runner up. This award, sponsored by BeeneGarter, Fifth Third Bank and Zingerman’s, was created to highlight excellent customer service in communities.
