The Old Town Business Assistance Team is a collaborative business outreach initiative using resources from within the community, under the direction of the Economic Restructuring Committee of the Old Town Commercial Association (OTCA). On May 22 Lamb’s Gate Antiques will celebrate two years in business in Old Town. Since its grand opening, Lamb’s Gate has filled up their once sparse store front with a collection of antiques and hidden treasures.  Ashley, who runs Lamb’s Gate with her mother-in-law and owner Carol, says one change within the past two years has been the amount of additional merchandise the store now offers, they have something for everyone.

Tiny Goat Films, the producer of the award-winning documentary MIGHTY UKE, and the Lansing Area ukulele community announce MIGHTY UKE DAY in Lansing on Saturday, May 5 as part of the MIGHTY UKE ROADSHOW tour. MIGHTY UKE DAY in Lansing is an extremely unique festival that brings together film, live performances, ukulele workshops, open mic, children’s activities, strum-alongs and jams and a special MIGHTY UKE ukulele give-away.

The digital publication was designed and developed by CiesaDesign for visitors to the Greater Lansing region based on the award-winning Greater Lansing Visitor Guide.

The ROOT (Residents of Old Town) group is hosting its annual block party May 19 from 1pm-5pm in Burchard Park in Old Town Lansing to celebrate the growing community, and camaraderie of residents. There will be food provided by Sir Pizza Grand Café, dessert provided by Aggie Mae’s Bakery and Deli, and family friendly games and activities. The purpose is simple: to unite residents and increase community involvement.

The first Farmers Market is on Sunday, May 6 from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the corner of Grand River and Turner St., and will include a wide variety of foods and homemade goods.
