Holiday Window Decorations by Local Artists

In the past the OTCA has expressed interest in holiday window decorations to make Old Town festive for the holidays. We have had some participation in the past, but know this is extra work for you.

This year, we are looking to bring in artists, some from Chalk of the Town, some from local galleries, MSU and beyond, to display their talents and holiday cheer on windows throughout Old Town while participating in a fun contest to help bring traffic downtown to view the windows and visit your businesses.

What we need from you, if you want to be a part of this festive event, is the donation of your window space and time for the artist to decorate the window from the inside of your store. We will have a designated week for the artist to work with you on a time to come in and decorate. Windows will be decorated with washable liquid chalk markers.

Since we know that your window space is valuable real estate, you’ll have the option of donating half your window space, all of your window space, or requesting a frame/border design.

At this point, we are simply reaching out to gage interest in this project since its success in making Old Town a decorated sight to see this holiday season is dependent on having a lot of windows decorated. If you are interested in donating some window space to an artist, please let us know by Tuesday Nov. 9 so we can move forward with next steps and share more details with those interested.
