Since it opened in 1998, Spiral Dance Bar on Center Street (one block east of Turner) has played a role in the culture of Old Town. Many call Spiral the home of the LGBTQ community in Greater Lansing, and the website says it’s a ‘hot place to go blow off some steam’ after work. And it doesn’t disappoint.
Besides being an awesome dance bar for people to gather together from all walks of life, there is also a fantastic patio and the bartenders and staff are always serving up a side of fun. Whether it’s a weeknight, a drag show night or some other special event … Spiral is always a good time.
This weekend, Friday and Saturday June 16 and 17, Spiral will help host the Michigan Pride celebration in Lansing with the White Party on Friday and the Pride Festival all day Saturday. Details can be found on Facebook or at michiganpride.org.
