Business Spotlight: Grace Celebrates 10 Years in Old Town

grace-2Grace Boutique of Old Town effortlessly blends elegance and sass — and has been for 10 years. Opening the doors on Feb. 17, 2007, Grace wowed its customers from the beginning with classic women’s clothing and accessories. One recession and a move down the street later and the shop is still going strong.

Shopping at this store makes you feel like you can walk out looking like an actress from the golden age of Hollywood. Not only can you find an exquisite cocktail dress, there are also suede gloves with delicate buttons, distinguished hats and brooches that can make even a plain t-shirt feel fancy. The real magic seems to be in how the pieces in this store, despite many being vintage-inspired, do not feel like a costume when you put them on.

Owner Summer Schriner has a keen eye for helping customers pick out flattering items and an amazing instinct at knowing what someone will like based on a quick description (hint, hint to all of you dads, significant others, and such that may need help picking out gifts). If you like to shop at Grace, you can take the guesswork out of it for those that may want to treat you to something special from the store by starting a wish list they keep on premise.

Although Grace carries mostly women’s items, there are some ties and socks for the gentlemen and numerous cheeky cards for all of life’s occasions.

A celebration of the 10th anniversary of Grace will take place at the store on Friday Feb. 17 from 5-8 p.m. For more info, or to RSVP, visit Grace on Facebook. Grace is located at 509 E. Grand River.
