Old Town Internship Opportunities

Hey there, self-starting, motivated college student. Let us be the first to tell you: welcome to Old Town! Old Town is Lansing’s historic district; it’s home to art galleries, boutiques, creative agencies  and many other businesses. Old Town is a cultural hub of Mid-Michigan, and we’re proud to be part of it. At the Old Town Commercial Association (OTCA) it’s our job to promote, support and foster the continued revitalization of this growing community. Sound cool to you? We hope so. To apply, send your resume and cover letter to heather@iloveoldtown.org.

Communications Internship Program

Looking to gain public relations experience? How about event planning? Then look no further. A typical day could consist of drafting press releases in the morning, contacting vendors for an event by lunch, then sitting in on a committee meeting in the afternoon. It’s far from monotonous. It’s fast-paced. It’s fun.

Design Internship Program

Great portfolios show off a designer’s versatility. Our design interns have the opportunity to do just that. They create promotional materials (posters, ads, etc.) for the OTCA, Old Town businesses and our events. With so many projects, no two are the same.

Video Production Internship Program

The video production intern will work with the OTCA Economic Restructuring Committee to create a series of video testimonials in support of Old Town Lansing as a positive place to live and work. They get to share people’s stories, and show how far this community has come. But it doesn’t end there as OTCA executes events throughout each semester we love being able to share that story with our community though video.

Photography Internship Program

A lot goes on in Old Town: events, business openings, community building projects, etc. These things need to be documented. Help us do that.
