Old Town Lansing Partners with Capital City Film Festival for Outdoor Movies

The 4th annual Turner Street Outdoor Theater will feature live music & family-friendly films

Old Town Commercial Association is hosting their fourth annual Turner Street Outdoor Theater on Friday evenings running from late July to mid-August. In partnership with the Capital City Film Festival (CCFF), this free family-friendly event will project movies in City Lot 56/Cesar Chavez plaza at dusk.

This summer film lineup includes a series of cult classics that both the young and old can enjoy. Prior to each movie, attendees will be able to enjoy a live music performance. Each night will showcase a different artist that comes from a unique genre of music including: rock ‘n’ roll, electronic, traditional Arabic and alternative.

Featured Music and Movies this year:

  • July 18: Ozay Moore / Hook
  • July 25: Wisaal / The Karate Kid
  • August 8: DJ Ruckus / Gremlins
  • August 15: Gifts or Creatures / Flight of  the Navigator

Music performances will begin at 9 p.m. followed by the featured film at 10 p.m. Attendees can pull up their lawn chairs or keep cozy in their car to enjoy a fun night of music and film under the stars.
