Business Spotlight: SPIN Bicycle Shop

Roll on into SPIN Bicycle Shop, a full service bicycle repair and retail joint that not only provides your specific biking needs but also a personal  vibe that’s sure to make you a regular. The shop opened in the winter of 2008 at 1214 Turner Street, now home to Katalyst Gallery, and has since moved to its new location at 206 E. Grand River Ave. This space is ideal for a retail and repair shop due to the open floor plan.

Owner Chad Cottom is dedicated to forming personal relationships with everyone who steps foot into SPIN, and because of this eighty-five percent of sales are from returning customers. Chad’s goal is to fit his customer’s bike to their exact specifications and needs. Whether you are in need of an efficient way to travel to work, a mountain bike dream, or simply a lazy weekend riding accessory Chad has got you covered.  Another unique feature available at SPIN is the dedicated process in which Chad determines the right bike for you.  Chad interviews all customers to find out for what purpose, when and where they will be riding Chad can determine the best make, model and size.
Just because the snow is falling doesn’t mean you should forget about your bike; now is the perfect time for a little TLC. SPIN’s focus during the winter season is repair and service, so now is the best time to bring your bike in for maintenance. With Michigan’s unpredictable weather, it could be warm enough to start riding tomorrow. Don’t forget to say hi to SPIN’s newest addition! Zeke the rescue kitten would be happy to find a bike that fits your every need.
SPIN’s winter hours are Tuesday-Friday: 10:30am-6pm, Saturday: 10am-4pm, Closed Sunday & Monday.
