Old Town Lansing welcomes the newest addition to the district, Greenfield Collection Antiques, an eclectic antique store located at 117 East Grand River. After closing their doors to pursue other career paths in August 2011, the three co-owners are back to continue what they love.
Many small businesses have a story to share and Greenfield Collection Antiques is no different. The store’s original location resided in Potterville, Michigan but in January of 2010 the store suffered from a tragic fire. Fate seemed to be in their favor as the owners were able to quickly find a new space to relocate. Two months later, Greenfield Collection Antiques reopened in Old Town Lansing. After a year and a half of success the partners decided to follow other career paths and close the shop. As time went on, the community felt a void and hoped they would return. “After we closed, people kept asking us if we would consider reopening,” said part-owner Mike Polston.
With the support from the Old Town residents, businesses and close friends, business partners Ron Cosson and brothers Mike Polston and Dave Polston decided to reopen their doors once again. “We love Old Town,” said Cosson. “The people, the energy, the artistic feel – there is just so much variety here.”
The new 1,500 square foot location displays a wide range of affordable eclectic items that range from a multitude of decades. Store hours will be 10 a.m.-6 p.m., Tuesday – Saturday, and 12- 5 p.m. on Sunday. For more additional information contact the store at 517-374-1040 or visit their Facebook page.
