Big Brothers Big Sisters welcomes new Executive Director

Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Michigan Capital Region is looking for avid bowlers, fundraisers and anyone who wants to help a great cause! Bowl for Kid’s Sake, Big Brothers Big Sisters largest fundraising opportunity of the year is coming up in April and is still looking for teams to fundraise and bowl, working to raise money to create new pairs of big’s and little’s and impact children’s lives. With a goal of $80,000 BKFS is well on their way to their goal and has already raised $20,000. Doug Vettraino, a BBBS board member, is the lead fundraiser and said “As of today, we have approximately 28 teams signed up for this year’s Big Brothers Big Sisters annual Bowl for Kid’s Sake event, and this truly is a fun event. We ask each bowler to raise $100.  In return, they will get to bowl two free games with shoes included.  How can you beat that? It’s win-win! Pizza and pop is also provided.  Remember, it’s not about the bowling, it’s about raising funds for a very worthwhile organization”.
